Vintage Albuquerque
A Timeless Setting
Original Pastel Painting 24 ” x 24”

A Timeless Setting
This image, created specifically for Vintage Albuquerque 2007, which benefits the New Mexico Symphony Orchestra, tells a part of the almost 400-year story of making wine in the Rio Grande Valley. Historical writings, research publications, and interviews with today’s curators and vintners provided information and images. The articles here can be found at Rancho de las Golondrinas and the Museum of Spanish Colonial Arts in Santa Fe. Using photography and hand-crafted models in the studio, Jane weaves her selected museum artifacts into her chosen setting. As she does this, she invites the viewer to be an integral part of the scene.
